GATES (RULES)
Washington PA PRIDE is a welcoming place to come together with friends, family, and loved ones to celebrate the progress of the LGBTQ+ community. Our code of conduct is designed to ensure the festival is safe and is an accepting space for everyone.
Washington PA PRIDE is a safe space and will not tolerate any threatening, violent, harassing, or offensive behavior against its volunteers, staff, artists, performers, festival goers, security personnel or members of the public.
Washington PA PRIDE celebrates diversity and will not tolerate any individual making derogatory remarks about a person's age, race, ethnicity, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, size, wardrobe, physical ability, economic status, and/or religion.
ID DRINKING BANDS
Must have proper identification to obtain and carry an alcoholic beverage, please have ID ready at gate to receive a wristband. (If found consuming or carrying an alcoholic beverage on festival grounds without a wristband and can’t provide proper documentation/ID you will be immediately escorted and banned from the festival grounds and result in authorities being called.
BAG POLICY
In order to ensure the safety of our patrons and to increase the efficiency of our entry procedure, Washington PA PRIDE has implemented a bag policy to mirror the bag policy of the NFL. Only bags within 4.5 ”x 6.5” x 3” will be allowed into the festival. We will also allow drawstring bags , festival merch bags purchased within the festival, and one gallon or smaller clear plastic bags sized at or under 12”x12”x6”. e.g., Ziploc. Large bags such as (but not limited to) backpacks, purses, totes and carry-alls will not be allowed into the festival. The contents of any bag allowed onto the premises will be inspected for prohibited items. Any prohibited items or bags must be taken back to your vehicle or disposed of. Washington PA PRIDE or any affiliate of, will not be responsible for securing your personal items. Anything placed outside of our gates or fence will be discarded or removed by authorities.
What can't I bring to the festival?
For the safety of both festival patrons and everyone else involved, we do not allow the following items:
Blankets or tarps
iPads, laptops or tablets (unless for medical use)
Food or beverage including alcohol excluding unopened water bottles (we will crack it open for you)
Selfie sticks, monopods or tripods
Bottles, flasks or cans
Coolers
Lawn chairs and cushions
Umbrellas (we recommend bringing a poncho)
GoPros
Recording devices, professional cameras, removable lenses and external lighting
Fireworks or flammable items/liquids
Aerosol sunscreen (lotion is permitted)
Candles
Laser pointers
Incendiary devices
Inline skates
Skateboards
Bicycles
Pets (unless service animal)
Helmets
Bags, diaper bags, or backpacks (please refer to our bag policy listed above)
Any form of weapon, including knives, mace or pepper spray
Unlabeled medication or illegal drugs
Offensive (homophobic, transphobic, etc…) signs, flyers and totems
Confetti, streamers, glitter or balloons
Drones
Sticks, poles or sports equipment
Wrapped items or gifts
Inflatables
Masks i.e. ski masks, gators (excluding those worn for protection against COVID-19, or items such as pup hoods)
Whistles, horns or noisemakers
Handbills or flyers
Stickers, markers, or paint
Aerosol cans
Prohibited items must be returned to your vehicle or discarded. Prohibited items will not be kept or stored on festival property. Anything placed outside of our gates or fence will be discarded or removed by authorities.
Washington PA PRIDE reserves the right to deny drugs that are unlabeled, unidentifiable, in large quantities or for reasons otherwise cited by security/management.
Strollers will be searched
Drawstring bags, hand clutches, etc. will be searched
All items listed above are subject to change at security’s discretion
Personal Items = Personal Responsibility
You are solely responsible for your personal items, including the items left in or around festival grounds. You assume all risk of their loss or damage. Lost and Found will be located at the Info Table located between gates A and B.
No Unauthorized/Unregistered Vending of Any Kind
No Unauthorized Solicitations, Handbills, Sampling, Giveaways, posting of signs or placards on any surface. We welcome you to register as a Vendor next year.

Promotional videos and photos will be taken at all times including before and after the festival.
By entering, you Washington PA PRIDE and Washington County Gay Straight Alliance, Inc., permission to use photographs that may or may not include you in all future promotional material, including but not limited to social media outlets, brochures, videos, and other printed materials.
